The name of this blend have strong connections to the old bootlegger “Long John” Macdonald, which is believed to be the man behind building Ben Nevis distillery in 1825.

Ben Nevis as well as the Long John brand have changed owner several times since then. Current owner of the brand since 2005 is Pernaud Richard.
