Wonder how high the collection would reach if they all were placed on top of each other? Or how many kilos of rubble there would be if that was ever attempted?
More seriously, what’s the tallest jug, the heaviest, the largest volume? How many by each maker etc.
Most of it can be found in the link below, mostly for my own use. But available for anyone interested or curious.
This opens as a read only google sheet, meaning that sorting and filtering is not available at the moment.
The Westcott quotes are “mid range” from the 1999 issue which has updates for every jug in the earlier 1991 book, as well as a 1999 AU$/£ currency converter. In all aspects of a price guide these prices are outdated and only really functional as a rarity comparrison guide.
My own estimates are based on average prices seen at auctions and on eBay, as well as what I have paid myself. Where little information for a specific jug is to be found it is more a “questimate” based on several general criteria like brand popularity, age, maker and numbers they usually produced etc.
