The Ole' Bottleman

Brand info:

OleBottleman_small

“The Ole Bottleman” a.k.a. Gordon Litherland is an authority in the field of old bottles, jugs and everything related to drinks advertising that in 1986 released a book called “Pub-Jugs and other Advertising Jugs”.

I assume he commissioned these jugs around 2000, as he is dedicated a whole page in the 1999 Westcott’s book, but the jugs are not mentioned.

A set of 8 were made, of which 2 are whisky related and the other 6 are beer, stout and mineral water brands. All quite obscure.

Four Crown was a brand owned by Seagram’s but it’s hard to locate any info. Even less on Fine Old Islay.
