Mitchells & Butlers is a thriving company to this day, although the business is quite different than when they started up in 1898.

It began as a beer and wine merchant, venturing into the brewing industry. While today they are managing a chain of more than 1.700 restaurants, bars and pubs in the UK.

In the early 1900’s they bottled a blend under the name Clan Ivor and in the 1950’s they had a short lived attempt of a few independent bottlings of a brand under their own name.
