Distilling probably had taken place much earlier at the site, but Miltonduff got it’s licence in 1824.
Although with a huge production capacity there have been few official single malt bottlings as the majority of the spirit goes into blending Ballantine’s.
One of few Highland malts being tripple distilled, making it a very soft spirit.
From 2017 there have been a 15YO available in the Ballantine’s Series.
