Created in 1928 by William Whiteley, then owner of Edradour distillery.
Aimed at the US luxury market and at the time recorded as the most expensive whisky in the world.
Supplied Frank Costello of mafia fame during the US prohibition, and Costello’s firm continued to take a cut of the import until 1976.
The brand was sold to Pernaud Richard in 1982 and discontinued shortly after.
