King George IV #9

Not originally a whisky advertising jug, but a commemorative jug for King George IV on his passing in 1830.
Later recreated by Royal Doulton (see #7) as a commemorative jug for King George V on his passing in 1936, then adding the advertising for the whisky named after his grandfather and for whom this original jug was made.

The jug clearly have the tale of a rough life with it's deep discoloured glaze, a fairly large piece of the left rim knocked off and a crack at the base.
At the time of writing it's 197 years old and it's looks holds a story we can only wonder about.
