Created by Robert McNish in 1863 this is one of the longest continuously produced scotch blends.

Originally consisting of more than 40 malts it was the whisky chosen by amongst others Ernest Hemingway.

The brand was sold to Macduff International in 1991. Today mainly marketed in North America, and still maintaining most of it’s original label and packaging design.

McNish’s Doctors Special is another brand  of the same origin, believed to have been introduced around 1900. Today owned by Chivas Brothers but have been dorment since mid 1970’s.
