In 1897 West Brewery outside Elgin was converted to Glen Moray distillery.

It closed in 1910 but was opened again in 1923 after being bought by then owners of Glenmorangie; Macdonald & Muir.

In 2008 it was sold to it’s curent owner; French distilling firm La Martiniquaise.
