Built in 1833 by the Edmonstone family this distillery was originally named Burnfoot.

Lang Bros. bought it in 1876 and renamed it Glen Guin, later changed to Glengoyne.

After being owned by Edrington for a long period it was sold to it’s current owner Ian MacLeod in 2003.
