Arthur Bell began blending whisky in 1851. 

“Extra Special” was registered as a trademark in 1895 and used as the company’s major brand from 1904 until it was replaced with “Bell’s Original” in 2008.

The slogan “Afore ye go” have been used since 1925.

Today Bell’s is owned by Diageo, and it’s main component is Blair Athol.
