Matchbox cars were introduced by Lesney in 1953.
The first "Models of Yesteryear" came already in 1956.
I've not figured out when or for what brand the first whisky car was made.
But the last one was made in 1996.
As the Matchbox brand was sold off to Mattel, one of the founders; Jack Odell managed to buy back some of the casting molds that were shipped off to Asia, bring them back to England and start production of more promotional aimed models under the name LLedo.
Very few of these models are available locally here in Norway, as alcohol advertising were banned alredy in 1975. I buy the odd one when I find them at an acceptable price, but most models shown here were gifted.

KENMORE
Not a toy or a collectors car as such, although I'm sure more than one kid must have been tugging at their parent's sleeve begging for this.
It is a 5 cl miniature glass bottle of blended whisky sold by Marks & Spencer under their store brand name Kenmore Special Reserve.
Probably for copy right reasons it is only called "sports car", but it looks a lot like a MGB.
